Financial Transparency

The women we serve deserve an organization they can trust completely. That means being open about where we came from, how we operate, and exactly where every dollar goes. We are a young organization built on founder investment, community belief, and an unshakeable commitment to survivors. This page reflects that honestly.

Our Financial Story: Year 1 Actuals & Year 2 Projections

The 1st 28 Foundation launched in 2025 entirely on founder investment. No outside grants. No corporate backing. Just a survivor who believed deeply enough to fund the mission herself.

Year 1 was our foundation year . The year we got legal, built the website, printed our first journals, secured insurance, and established our community presence. Year 2 is our growth year. Operating leaner, investing in outreach, and actively seeking the grants and partnerships that will allow us to reach more survivors.

HOW YOUR DONATION IS USED

77 Cents of Every Dollar Goes Directly to Programs

We run lean by design. Our overhead is low because our founder works from a home office, volunteers her time, and has personally funded the infrastructure so that donations can do what they are meant to do — get healing resources into the hands of survivors.

FOUNDER INVESTMENT

Built on Personal Belief

Before The 1st 28 Foundation received its first outside donation, our founder invested $25,000 of her own money to make it real.

She covered the legal filings, the first journals, the website, the office space, the insurance, and every operational cost it took to stand this organization up from nothing. She did it because she has walked this road personally and knew the gap was real.

That investment does not come back to her. It stays in the mission, because that is the only reason it was given.
